Pak-China relations are very important: Gilani

Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that
Exchange of delegation from all walks of
life is a permanent feature of close and warm relations between China
and Pakistan.
The Prime Minister was talking to Chinese Youth Delegation which
called on him at the PM’s
Secretariat on Wednesday. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr.Luo
Zahohui was also present in the meeting.
The Prime Minister termed the Sino-Pakistan relations very important
especially for the promotion
of peace and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister, while underlining the importance of the exchange
of youth delegation between
the two countries, said that they can exercise their influence on
further strengthening the already existing warm
and time tested relations. He said that this interaction will continue
to ensure mutual trust and confidence.
Acknowledging the Chinese financial and technical assistance in a
number of project completed in
the past, the Prime Minister said that they are contributing a lot to
the economic development of Pakistan. He
said that we are extremely grateful to our Chinese friends for their
cooperation in various social, cultural and
economic fields, aimed at the development and up-lift of Pakistan
The Prime Minister said that People’s Republic of China has ushered in
an era of impressive
achievements, which have distinctly contributed to the stature of
China in the comity of nations. He further
said that China is a pillar of strength for the developing world as
economically strong China would help to
promote the cause of the developing countries and play a major role in
strengthening global peace and
security.
The Prime Minster observed that China is destined to emerge a great
power in this century.
Underlining the importance of China’s role, he said that China will
play a critically important role in the world
affairs in a multi-polar world.
Earlier the Prime Minister welcomed the delegation on their visit to
Pakistan.
