Watches to remain one hour advance till Oct 31

Staff Reporter

Islamabad—Watches in Pakistan will not be reverted to the country’s normal time, as the daylight saving time
has been extended till October 31, 2008.
The decision was taken by the Federal Cabinet, said the Federal Minister for Information Sherry
Rehman here on Wednesday. The watches were advanced by one hour on June 1, 2008 after the
government’s decision to follow the daylight saving time. The time was scheduled to be reverted to the
original position on Aug 31, 2008. But the government has decided to keep the watches one-hour advanced
for another couple of months till October 31, 2008.
