Staff Reporter

Quetta—Convener All Parties Democratic Movement, Chairman Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP)
Mehmood Khan Achakzai on Wednesday called for postponement of the Presidential Elections and urged the
political parties to unite and develop consensus on restoration of judges and other issues confronting the
country.
Addressing a crowded press conference here at the Quetta Press Club, Achakzai said in London
APC; all the political parties except PML-Q and MQM had committed that they would struggle for restoration
of constitution to its pre-October 1999 status, independent judiciary, media and Election Commission and
empowerment of parliament.
Mr. Achakzai said that the APDM had suspended its schedule for holding countrywide

He however, added that the APDM leaders including Qazi Hussein Ahmed and Imran Khan would
be contacted to participate in rallies and consequent sit-in organized by the lawyers in various parts of the
country.
He added that he or his other colleagues had no stakes in the government but “we are ready to play
role in order to bridge gulf between PML-N and PPP-led coalition.”
He reiterated that his party would continue struggle for free judiciary, free media, sovereign of
parliament, rule of law and sovereign foreign policy of the country under all circumstances.
