‘CDA supplying water as per WHO standards’
Islamabad—The National Assembly was informed on
Wednesday that the Capital Development Authority was supplying water
to the residents according to the standards set by the World Health
Organisation (WHO).
Parliamentary Secretary for Establishment Division informed the house
on a Calling Attention Notice that the water passes through various
processes of filtration before its onward supply.
She said the CDA regularly monitors the quality of water which is
supplied to the residents of the capital.
The notice was moved by Shamshad Sattar Bachani, Dr Azra Fazal
Pechuho, Yasmeen Rehman and Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur.
Meanwhile, during the current Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign CDA is
planting 0.4 million sapling, 0.3 million plants of indigenous spices
like Chir, Kachnar, Amaltas, Phulahi in Margallah Hills and Simly
Cathment Areas.
About 0.1 million sapling environment friendly spices are being
planting in urban ares, green belts, avenues, highways, parks and
play-fields, said a CDA press release here on Wednesday.—APP |
