Cops suspended on robbery charges
Rawalpindi—Nasir Khan Durrani Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi
Region here Friday has placed Constable Rashad Minhas and Constable
Muhammad Nauman of Rawalpindi district under suspension on the charge
of committing dacoity. The RPO Durrani has directed local police to
arrest them immediately and also register criminal case against them.
According to detail Muhammad Sajid alongwith others residents of Dewal
Sharif Rawalpindi complained in writing before Regional Police
Officer, Nasir Khan Durrani alleging therein that he was way laid by
some persons who snatched away mobile.
He further alleged that his companion identified the persons as police
constables serving in Police Station Saddar Barooni saying he reported
the mater to Police Station Saddar Barooni but no action was taken.
Later on some other person also complained that such like incidents of
robbery also took place with them. They had also showed suspicion on
police Constables Rashad Minhas and Muhammad Nauman.
On the said complaint Nasir Khan Durrani Regional Police Officer
Rawalpindi Region entrusted the matter to SSP/RIB Rawalpindi to hold
an enquiry who after due enquiry.—APP
