Livestock professionals urged to adopt changes,
innovations
Lahore—Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab Jehanzeb Khan
has urged the livestock professionals to keep pace with fast changing
hi-tech age for success in professional life. He was addressing the
concluding session of a three-day workshop on Team building and change
management organized by the Faculty of Life Sciences Business
Management at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS),
Lahore on Thursday.
He said that change is inevitable and only those professionals survive
who adopt changes/innovations in life. He said that every member of a
professional team must have confidence in the team leader for success
of a professional goal.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Nawaz said that livestock sector had
tremendous potential to grow and it was the need of the hour to
exploit that potential to alleviate poverty in the country. He said
that mutual trust and confidence was must between employer and the
employee to keep pace with technological changes in the world. Prof
Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha said that the Faculty of Life Sciences Business
Management had started a series of training workshops for livestock
professionals to update their knowledge and enhance their skills.
Later, the secretary and the VCr gave away certificates to the
workshop participants. The objective of the workshop was professional
development of livestock professionals by enhancing their efficiency
through imparting them team building skills, equipping them with the
skills for human resource management to better manage the process of
change in facilitation stakeholder of livestock sector.
Competent resource persons from educational institutions and corporate
sector were hired to conduct this workshop.—APP
