KU’s re-opening decision today

Karachi—A decision would be made at a meeting on Thursday regarding the re-opening of Karachi University.
This was stated by the Registrar, Prof. Muhammad Rais Alvi, on Wednesday.
He said that the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, will chair the meeting to be also attended by the Deans of the faculties and the advisers.
Karachi University was closed for Wednesday and Thursday in the wake of Tuesday’s armed clash at the campus between rival groups of students.
The Registrar said that three students were killed and six others were injured in the clash.
He said that the vice-Chancellor will chair a meeting on Thursday to review the situation and decide about the re-opening of the institution.—APP
