Sasta bazars to be set up in Ramazan

Rawalpindi—District Coordination Officer (DCO) Imdadullah Bosal has said that Sasta Bazars would be established in Kalar Sayyedan, Taxila, Gujarkhan, Kahuta, Murree and Rawalpindi during Ramazan-ul-Mubarik to ensure provision of commodities of daily use on control rates to the citizens.

Untreated water for street, home wash

Islamabad—In wake of prevailing water scarcity, the Capital Development Authority has decided to disallow use of clean drinking water for washing streets or other unnecessary purposes as it has planned to initiate supply of untreated water to serve the purpose.

Pak to follow BD, Iran model of population control: Firdous

Islamabad—Minister for Population Welfare, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan Tuesday said that Pakistan can follow the Bangladesh and Iran models to achieve better results in its population control efforts. The Minister presently in Nepal to attend the regional conference on population control was talking to PTV in a telephonic interview.
