Forces hold 35 militants including Commander Beheaded body of policeman found

Peshawar—The security forces during the search and cordon off operation against the insurgents in Swat, Lakki Marwat, Darra Adam Khel and Mohmand Agency on Tuesday apprehended around 35 militants including a commander. They gunned down two miscreants in Swat. Huge amount of sophisticated weapons were recovered from the militants. On the other hand a beheaded dead body of a policeman was found in Swat Tuesday in wee hours.

86 Kashmiris cross LoC through Rawalakot-Poonch trans-bus

Mirpur—A total of 86 Kashmiris, belonging to the divided families, exchanged sides by trans-LoC Rawalakot-Poonch bus through the stipulated Chakan-Da-Baghf - Taitrinote entry point late Monday, official sources said.Those traveled to AJK include five fresh visitors from occupied Poonch.They included Mohd Shaffi and three members of his family from Noonabandi, Poonch who left for Hajeera in AJK to meet Shaffi’s cousin Raj Mohammed.

Washington—Chairman of US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen has said though troops morale is high in Afghanistan, the Taliban are a tough organization and conditions are not expected to change soon. As everyone knows, we’ve lost a large number of people here very recently,” Navy Adm. Mike Mullen said during a Pentagon Channel interview. “It’s going to be a tough fight in Afghanistan for the foreseeable future, and we’re doing everything we can to certainly eliminate any losses.

Islamabad—Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira Tuesday said improved relationship between Pakistan and India, resolution of Kashmir issue, peace in Afghanistan were the pre-requisites to promote regional trade and development. Addressing a post trade policy-2009-12 press conference here, he said the un-resolved Kashmir issue and crisis in Afghanistan were the two main hurdles in the progress of regional trade and prosperity in South Asia.
