UVAS workshop on bioequivalence
Lahore—Bioequivalence Study (BcSt) Centre of the
University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in
collaboration with WHO and Ministry of Health is holding a two-day
workshop on ‘Bioequivalence Studies in Pakistan’ from Thursday.
The workshop aims to train manpower from pharmaceutical industry
regulators and academia, according to a press release. Resource
persons from jordan and Pakistan will deliver lectures and conduct
technical and practical sessions covering various aspects of
bioequivalence studies.
The workshop will cover the topics Benefits and Challenges of
Clinical Trials in Developing Countries, General Guidelines of
Bioequivalence Studies, Power Analysis of Bioequivalence Studies,
Validation of Analytical Method for Bioequivalence Studies, Common
Sources of Deficiencies in Bioequivalence Studies and Statistical
Consideration in Bioequivalence Studies.
The Bioequivalence Study Centre has been initiated with the
technical support of the World Health Organization to offer
expertise to the pharmaceutical sector.—APP
