Lahore—Differences between the Pakistan People’s
Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N on the mode
of judges reinstatement and impeachment of
President Pervez Musharraf still persist and
talks held between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari
at PML-N leaders’ at Raiwind on Friday ended
without any outcome. Sources said meeting lasted
for over four hours in which constitutional
package, president’s impeachment and judges’
restoration came under discussion. PML-N central
leaders Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar, Khwaja
Asif, and Ishaq Dar assisted Nawaz Sharif. PPP’s
leaders Raja Riaz, Jehangir Badr, Fauzia Wahab
and Aziz-ur-Rehman Chann also attended the
meeting.

real progress through functioning of real
federation, with federating units enjoying full
autonomy and rights over their resources. In an

Islamabad—The 55th birth anniversary of former
Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed is being
observed throughout the country with great
reverence today (Saturday). The main function
will be held at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, the
ancestral village and family graveyard of Bhutto
family in Larkana district.
The ceremony will start with blood donation by
party leaders and workers besides Quran Khani
for the departed soul. Sindh Chief Minister
along with cabinet members and leaders of
Pakistan People’s Party will lay wreath at the
Mazar and offer Fateha. A public meeting will
also be held.
Islamabad—Muslim League-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat
Hussain and Chaudhy Pervaiz Elahi on Friday
called on President Musharraf. President
Musharraf said he would accept the Parliament’s
decision if an impeachment motion was tabled
against him. He said Parliament is supreme body
and enjoys the constitutional right to impeach
anybody.
Islamabad—Dr. Abdul Qadeer has strongly
condemned, berated and accused the rogue states
like USA for spread of harmful nuclear
technology globally. Talking to a private TV
channel he said this rogue network comprising
USA and EU has been quite active, even well
before his arrival in Pakistan in 70’s to launch
the nuclear project, Pakistan had also accessed
a lot of technology and hardware from this very
rogue network. He lambasted international media
for publishing all haywire stories about his
network, and said that recent statements of
retired generals sufficed to negate such
baseless fiction.

found a statue of Bodhisattva Maitreya made of
black shiest stone belongs to second century AD
at the Buddhist monastery locally called Badal
Pur situated about 13 km north-east of Taxila
Museum. While talking to newsmen here Friday,
Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Khan, Director Exploration
of Federal Department of Archaeology and Museums
who is conducting the excavation and
preservation of this ancient site unveiled that
during excavations recently a sculpture of
Bodhisattva Maitreya, future Buddha discovered.
