Peshawar—The Local Taliban in Swat and the NWFP
government have eventually inked a peace accord
whereby the two sides have agreed to make
practical efforts for the establishment of
lasting peace in the Swat district paving the
way to normalcy in the region which has been in
the grip of violence, militancy and lawlessness
for a long time.
Islamabad—Pakistan and India Wednesday agreed to
carry forward the composite dialogue to resolve
all outstanding disputes, including the issue of
Jammu and Kashmir peacefully.

would “reserve judgement” on Pakistan’s peace
deal with pro-Taliban militants, and would
monitor how effective it is in stopping attacks.

Wednesday announced to observe countrywide (Youm-e-Ehtejaj)
on June 1, to protest over the non restoration
of deposed judges by the ruling coalition.
