Karachi—Pakistan People’s Party and MQM have
agreed to form coalition government in Sindh.
According to a report MQM will be given seven
ministries in Sindh Provincial Government. The
post of Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly will
also go to the Qaumi Mutehidda Movement.
Islamabad—Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq
Parvez Kayani held meeting with President Pervez
Musharraf on Wednesday after briefing the ruling
alliance and federal cabinet members on national
security.
Peshawar—A twenty one member cabinet of the ANP
led coalition government in NWFP took oath here
Wednesday. Governor Owais Ahmad Ghani
administered the oath to the ministers at
Governor House at an impressive ceremony which
was attended by the NWFP Chief Minister Ameer
Haider Khan Hoti. Those took oath include two
senior ministers one each from ANP and PPPP as
well as a lady minister.
Faisalabad—Fourteen persons were killed, while
another 25 suffered injuries when two buildings
collapsed after an explosion in a gas cylinder
godown on Kashmir Road here Wednesday morning.

Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan hoped that the new
government would free him from his house arrest
and he would have freedom of expression very
soon.

New York—Pakistan’s Army chief, Gen. Ashfaq
Parvez Kayani, has been inducted into the U.S.
Army Command and General Staff College’s
International Hall of Fame, a high honour
reserved for top military officers, The New York
Times reported Wednesday.
