Islamabad—President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday urged the Muslim ummah to collectively confront the challenges faced by it. “We have to show collective resolve to take the Muslim Ummah forward and realise the true potential of the collective powers of Ummah by sharing and cooperating with each other,” President Musharraf said while Inaugurating the 13th General Assembly meeting of OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH).

Peshawar—Ameer Haider Hoti, leading the ANP- PPPP coalition government in NWFP was on Tuesday sworn as the 23rd Chief Minister of the province. He was administered the oath of his office by the Governor NWFP Awais Ahmad Ghani at the lush green lawns of the Governor House in the afternoon at an impressive ceremony which was believed to have been attended by some 18 hundreds invitees mostly the political workers belonging to coalition partners ANP and Peoples Party.
