Islamabad—President Pervez Musharraf
administered the oath of office to the first
batch of the 24 member federal cabinet of Prime
Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani at a special
ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.
Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani
emphasized upon the members of his Cabinet to
gear-up their energies and focus upon the 100
days programme to ensure that the government is
determined to deliver. The Prime Minister said
this while presiding over the first meeting of
the new Federal Cabinet at the Prime Minister’s
Secretariat on Monday.
Islamabad—Federal Ministers- designate belonging
to PML-N took oath of the office wearing black
bands round their arms at Aiwan-i-Sadr here
Monday morning. They wore black bands as a mark
of protest against the President, who
administered the oath.
THE political headwinds accompanied by global
pressures affected the real Gross Domestic
Product (GDP) growth to downward in the range of
6.0-6.5 percent on one hand while pushing up the
inflationary pressures to 9 percent during
fiscal year 2008.
