Mian Aslam withdraws nomination papers

Islamabad—Mian Aslam, candidate of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) for national assembly seat from Islamabad has withdrawn his nomination papers on Friday on the directives of MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmed and boycotted the electoral process.
It is pertinent to mention that Mian Aslam was candidate of MMA from the constituency of NA-48 and won the seat in the last elections with the huge majority. Mian Aslam, however, preferred party’s decision over his political interests and withdrew his nomination papers.—Online
