Karachi unrest stretches wings killing 8, injuring 5Staff Reporter Karachi—At least two activists of a political party were killed and another five sustained injuries in a bomb attack that ripped through an office of political party in Lyari locality, while the wave of unrest continued spreading its wings over the metropolis even on Wednesday.
Six other Karachiites died in gun attacks in different parts of the city. As usual unidentified assailants threw hand grenades at the office of a political party located in Nawalain area which lie under the jurisdiction of Klakot police station and fled away like always.
Women Development Dept sets up five women complaint cellsStaff Reporter Karachi—Provincial Minister Women Development, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto said that in addition to women centers, her Department has set up women complaint cells in five cities in Sindh for increased accessibility to relief by women in difficult circumstances.
She also gave an overview of the current status of women centers and shelter homes.
Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto said that UAN 111-623-937 is also installed in women complaint centers.
Prolific writer Zakir Ali Khan passes awayKarachi—Zakir Ali Khan, a great protagonist with the vision and mission of great reformer and educationist Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, passed away here Wednesday after a protracted illness.
